Replaceing the 3-inch Anti-Aircraft guns on the causeway. The guns had just been readied for shipment to Seattle a few weeks before since the 205th Coast Artillery finished its six month manuevers here in Sitka an had packed up to wait for their ship. Pearl Harbor occured a day before their schedualed departure and they were ordered to "dig in." They were here for two more years.
